Reiki, pronounced "ray key", means Universal Life Force Energy.

Usui Reiki, is a holistic form of healing and works on the four main levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It dates back to the Tibetan Buddhist 2,500 years and was redeveloped by Dr. Mikao Usui in Japan in the 1900s.

It is a healing technique that is based on the principle that the practioner can channel energy to the patient with touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient's body and assist to restore physical and emotional well being.

A treatment feels like an amazing glowing radiance that flows through and around you. It is a simple, natural and safe method of healing and can be used to complement all other medical or therapeutic techniques.

When you receive a Reiki session, you lay fully-clothed on a massage table, or if the client is unable to lay, you can sit in a chair for the session. The Reiki practitioner places their hands lightly on or above different areas of your body.

Distant healing is also an option for those who are unable to get a hands on session, especially if you are housebound, in a hospital, or just prefer to be in your own familiar environment.
